Poor little Mexican dogs...

This is the poor little dog that was wandering the neighborhood where we built the house, the picture in the corner was their current house, with 9 people living in it! Matt and I felt really bad realizing that our bedroom and bathroom alone were bigger than there whole house! And this dog! We saw it all the time just looking really sad and eating out of the piles of trash behind the house,(on the picture, all that stuff in the weeds is piles of garbage) But apparently in Mexico, it's the opposite of America so the poorer people live higher up the hill and this house was at the very top. It had amazing views! Just thought that was interesting.

Addicted to Sunsets

I love sunsets! I realize that most people do, but have you noticed that you can never quite capture how beautiful it really is on film? It frusturates me! So I just take millions of pictures and cry when it fades away! Sunset is my favorite time of day!

Hermosillo, Mexico

So, this was day 1 in Mexico. We ate at a little taco shop by our hotel(which was beautiful!) the first picture is my handsome husband translating for our group of about 30... and the second is my steak tacos, they are amazing! I miss them already, and horchata is Mexico's best kept secret! So taco stands are among my favorite things!

Gingerbread Houses!

Last year at FHE, Matt and I constructed this wonderful ginberbread house! Notice the drawbridge and our tower... unbelievable as it might sound, this little castle only survived about an hour

This is my old roommated Liz, we got in an icing fight...

This is Matt and I constructing our gingerbread house, and that blue thing in my hand is a glue gun... so I guess our castle isn't as amazing now that you know that know we glued it all together instead of using frosting...

My brother is a redneck genius!

So, Matt and I were visiting my family for General Conference and my brother Shane was making a cake for my brother Jeff's birthday. Unfortunately, Jeff had recently burned out the motor on the hand mixer, leaving Shane with no way of mixing the frosting... and of course it had to be Sunday. I wasn't really paying attention until I realized that Shane had gone downstairs into my dad's shop and had gotten a cordless drill, and had effectively attatched a whisk to it.

I had my doubts as to whether or not it would work, but to my suprise and astonishment, the drill/mixer worked wonderfully, and Shane didn't have to worry about the motor burning out. I thought it was pretty creative!

Our House!

So, this is our lovely little house, that lump in the corner, thats our lovesac. And yes, we know that the pictures are lopsided, but we just never put new nails in that lined up!

This is our bedroom, it was super hard picking out a duvet cover that we both liked. What can I say? I'm a girl and I wanted the pink flower one... we got a maroon one at first, but our room ended up looking like a brothel, so we took it back and got this nuetral colored one! Fascinating huh?

So, I just got married in August, and I love pictures of myself... and I like twirling in big dresses and puffy skirts, you know, like wnen you were little and you stood in front of the mirror and spun around to make your skirt go out? I never grew out of that stage...

I used to be in shape

So, I stumbled across this picture of me on the internet whilst I was doing my homework, yes I am that famous... Just kidding! I had to search to find this amazing picture from my senior year of track. This is the 4x800 meter relay, we won by the way.
