Super Sports Medicine Woman!

I'm in a sports medicine lab class and I have really been enjoying all the taping jobs that I am learning! I wish they had an athletic training program here! But I had this idea of making a silent movie of my adventures in Sports Medicine last night while I layed in bed... so here it is!

PS. I feel really cool because we work in the treatment room once a week, so I get a cool shirt that looks really official, and I am sporting it in this video! (along with my cape that is really my super cute apron that Olivia made for me)

Emily: The Conclusion

*DISCLAIMER: If you have not read the first two parts of the story of Emily, please do so before completing this tragic tale.

So after Emily so happily destroyed the world of the fairies, she was off in search of a new quest, a more powerful nation to destroy! Only she had no idea what would be in store for here in the frozen tundra of Rexburgia. Little did she know that the school she was going to attend (BYU-Incredula) was actually a cover for a clan of barbarian wizards, the most powerfully persuasive culture in the history of the world, but also some of the most ferocious! They had magical powers beyond belief, and Emily, in her arrogance, went in pursuit of ruining their lives. Try as she might, Emily could not seem to gain the upper hand when it came to battling these powerful creatures. One day, Emily came in counter with one of the most powerful barbarian wizard of them all, Ruskell the Rock. Ruskell immediately fell in love with Emily when she tried to kill him with her singing. He cast a powerful sleeping spell on her and carried her far away into the mountains were they could be married by the king of Ruskell's tribe. When Emily awoke from her blissful sleep, she immediately started to sing. (you see, she was scared of all the barbarian wizards surrounding her, even though they had brought her killer wedding presents) Emily's singing however, had the opposite effect of what she intended. Every male BW in the audience suddenly fell in love with her! Before they could even be married, Ruskell had to take on his entire clan and escape with Emily. He wisked her away to Calitoviro, where he had to cast another spell on her to make her fall in love with him. They were then married, and disapeared! It is rumored that they went to the barren place of Wahitnoginon, but there is no evidence of this claim. Emily, the warrior will truly be missed.

The Curse of the Cookies

So, my whole life I have had this terrible problem. Doctors are baffled by it's complexity. I cannot make chocolate chip cookies to save my life. I can make almost anything else (well my family would say that I also can't make biscuits but that was a one time thing and I have since redeemed myself) but I CAN'T make a good batch of cookies. Matt and I have been on this diet for our family challenge, but one night I broke down for want of sugar, and so you can imagine my dismay to see THIS pop out of the oven. I was in the depths of despair! Every Sunday since I was eight years old until I went to college I have made cookies and there is always something wrong with them! I cannot figure it out! I have a disease, and a horrible one! I watched my friend make cookies once and they were sooo good, then I went home with the same recipe and they turn out like crap! I mean look at those cookies! They are a wreck and I followed the recipe exactly! Oh when will the famine be over? These are the worst cookies I've made. Maybe I am being punished for eating them when I'm not supposed to be eating them!

My sister the streaker

Since my own life is so boring, I have decided to post about a funny story that my sister told me today. (don't worry, no real streaking involved) So there she was, at the high schools winter sports assembly. And the swim team never gets any attention, so when the girls swim team was left out of the program, Annie (my sister, and the captain of the team) decided that if the school wasn't going to put them in, they would put themselves in. We have our assemblies in a basketball gym, with bleachers up both sides. So while the swim team boys captains were talking, Annie and about four other girls ran across the floor in their swim suits. (keep in mind that we are talking about a school that is 99% LDS) She said at first that everyone was silent, but then they all started cheering. Dang! Where did my sister get to be so cool while I am not? I just laughed my head off and was depressed that we were never in high school together, so I could have leeched her coolness. (Get this, I was a senior, my brother Jeff was a sophmore and Annie was a freshman, so still at Jr. High... my crazy mother)

Here are the culprits: Drew, Annie and Christine(I didn't know the other girls)

Just a little "Friendly" Competition!

So this year, the Carters are doing a family challenge, and Matt and I are so stoked! It is basically to get in shape physically, mentally, and spiritually, and you score points and then if you get a certain amount of points then you get an awesome prize. I do feel kinda bad because me and Matt do have an advantage, well, lots of them, but I am mostly just excited that this is a good motivator for me to get into shape again!

So we just thought that we would let the family know that it is ON!

Notice that we even filled our cookie jar with fruits!
