Thriller

Tonight, I finally learned the Thriller. We did that tonight at kickboxing instead of our normal workout (kinda made me sad, I love the abs). I never even knew there was a Thriller dance until I was in high school and one of my friends showed me the music video. Please tell me I am not the only one out of the loop here? (granted, I did get caught up tonight!) And don't you all love the excessive posts today? I had a lot to get caught up on.

This is for all you Democrats out there!

I found this on facebook bumper stickers, and I love it.

Clue into Wellness

is the Halloween Theme of the Wellness Center, where I work. It's pretty awesome. We came up with it when the director decided that we should all dress up like clue characters for Halloween. But we took that one step further and turned the Wellness Center in a game of Clue! This is the box where you can submit 'who done it?' after you have looked through the center to try to find the rest of the cards that are hidden. Sweet huh? We were all pretty excited about it, and our new fliers are the best! Anyways, its been really fun becaue people are getting really into finding all the clues hidden around.

Deliciousness

I have this recipe for rolls that I make all the time, and anytime I do Matt downs them like MAD. So I wanted to post about them because they are super easy! (well, after you make the dough). To make them, you whip up a batch of roll dough, and when the recipe tells you to either roll them out and cut them, or shape them or whatever, you just make them into balls and dip them first in butter, and then in this mixture:

1 cup grated Parmesan
1 cup of Parmesan from the can, (like that you shake on stuff)
2 tablespoons of Salad Supreme seasoning

Then just follow the rest of the instructions for your roll recipe!

P.S. Here is my idea of a perfect dinner: awesome rolls and potatos (I love them because I have a thing for bacon bits)free steaks from Russ, and the Laptop on the table playing whatever TV show it is that we are into at the time, currenty: Lost.

I love it.

Just cuz I can

This is one example of why Matt and I get along so great, this is us hiding in the tree in our front yard, waiting for our friends to come over so we can throw sticks at them.(and yes, I do realize that is a terrifying picture of myself)

Party on dudes...

Matt and I are the party people in our ward, and we had our Halloween Party last night. Man, its stressful, and every time I feel like it's a disaster! But we have one more over and done with. WOOT! Matt and I didn't have time to make a real costume, so he was an email, and I was his attachment (that got old REAL fast)

Favorite People Post

I have decided to post about my favorite people every once in awhile, I have a lot of them, so it will probably be many posts, but thats okay right?

I think it's only fitting that I start this with my family.

My Parentals: I love my parents, they have always been supportive and encouraging. They are the best. I found an old paper the other day that I wrote in third grade about my mom, and it said 'my mom and I are like best friends, and sometimes it seems like she is my sister not my mom, except she can boss me around' and thats pretty much true. Plus it doesn't hurt that I am their favorite.

Jeff: We weren't always the closest, but Jeff was always really funny and entertaining to be around. Once, when we were teenagers, me and Annie were sleeping in my room and Jeff pulled his matress in on the floor so we could all have a sleepover. Remember that?

Annie: Is really crazy, the posts I have done about her really display that. I had a friend over tonight, and I was showing her some of the pictures I had taken when me and Annie have made movies together and she asked if Annie ever got sick of being my dress up doll, and I really don't think she has. We fought a lot when we were younger, about clothes and such but we have alway been really good friends.

Shane: what to say about Shane? I love that he is really determined, and I have probably had more deep conversations with Shane than with any of my other siblings. Once I called home for my mom and Shane awnsered and we talked for like an hour, what 15 year old boy talks to their older sister for an hour? It was awesome.

Mitch: Me and Mitch are far enough apart that I was old enought to help out with him when he was little, so I have always felt really protective of him. I love that he always thinks he can beat Matt up, and it's really fun to watch them wrestle. I love how sweet Mitch is.

Vanessa: I love Vanessa because she writes me letters. How sweet is that? She is always the only one who ever seems excited that I have come to visit, and I love that! She is the greatest little sister.

Basically, I love my family, they are awesome.

You're Welcome Matt

Once every so often, Matt will say to me, you should blog about such and such a thing and one time I told him that he should just blog about it because it is our blog. He told me that he never did because I never invited him to be a member of my blog. So today, I sent him an email inviting him to be an author on my blog. So lets all give a warm welcome to Matt and hope that he posts at least sometimes! So Matt, now you too can post on our blog.

Sorry guys...

I am not longer going to be able to aid you in your criminal endeavours, for I have been fingerprinted. I know this will make your future heists a bit of a problem. I apologize for that. But, the cop that fingerprinted me today for my student teaching said that I wouldn't make a good criminal anyways, my fingerprints are too defined. Blast it all. Anyways, it was really cool! It was like in movies were you put your hand on the touch pad and it reads your fingerprints. I was expecting the old roll your finger in ink and press it onto a page, but I was suprised to see it was all digital, and it was all awesome.

New Old Stuff

this is a movie that I made over Spring Break a couple years ago, and I guess the Texas family wanted to see it or something. I think it's cool cuz it's got some sweet motorcycle stuff. I really like to ride, and my family does a lot of it. I learned to ride a motorcycle about the same time I learned to ride a bike (like 3 or 4 years old) my dad has an italjet he taught us all on (the mini one in our Willie Nelsoon music video) So yes, this post I guess is my tribute to ridin. Hope ya'll in Texas enjoy it!

did anyone catch the nasty wreck? Somewhere in there I have the footage of a guy breaking his leg really bad... it was scary.

Anyone Heard?

Has anyone heard about either one of these games? I REALLY want a karoke game for the wii, and these are the only two I have been able to find. Amazon reviews confuse me, and I really want to buy one, so if any of you have played them, or heard about them, please let me know!

The Weekend

I have been meaning to blog about all the awesome things I did last weekend when I was home in Utah, so here it goes:

Went to Annie's powderpuff flag football game. (they got killed, sorry girls, that's rough)

Felt my my cousin Jennifer's baby kick! P.S. I love my Texas Cousins, and the council (you know who you are)

Went to IHOP with some of my best friends (tried to call you a MILLION times Julie) which is a major tradition with my high school friends, we go really early, and sit in the same booth. I love it.

Helped my cousin Melissa pick out her wedding dress, this isn't it, the one she got is AMAZING. We all loved it.

Went and watched my Mindy friend (who is an amazing singer/songwriter/musician) do an open mic at a coffee shop in Springville.

So all in all, it was an awesome weekend! I got to see lots of people I haven't seen in awhile, and man it's crazy to see where all of our lives are.

I'm lovin it

I have had a CRAZY week. So now I am sitting on my couch, scrabooking, and listening to Backstreet Boys (the Never Gone album of course, the new one is weird.) Could life be better? I think not.

Fashion Forward

I have been meaning to blog about my weekend ALL week, but its been a little crazy. But anyways, I got some pictures from my mom of my little sister Annie's daily outfit. My mom started taking pictures when Annie went to school on the first day in basketball shorts and a t-shirt, claiming that she wasn't going to wear her new clothes until everyone else stopped wearing theirs. Whatever that means. Annie always says that I dress like a soccer mom, but at least I didn't fro my hair for senior picture day! So this is for all of you that know Annie, but don't get to see her crazy outfits. (mostly Patty and Carlie)

New Love

I am officially addicted to Digital Scrapbooking.
Reasons to switch to digital:
1. No mess!
2. So EASY! If you already know the basics of photoshop, scrapbooking is cake.
3. Cheaper!
4. Faster!
In summary, I love it! Here is the first page I did:

Crushed

Not in a literal term, or even seriously. But I wanted to recount a conversation I had with Matt today.

Kristal: Hey Matty, after we have kids I'm going to the police academy okay?
Matt: The police academy?
Kristal: Yes, I want to be a detective!
Matt:No
Kristal: Well, I also want to get my nursing degree, can I do that?
Matt: No
Kristal: Well then can I at least get my masters?
Matt: In what?
Kristal: counseling
Matt: No

Man, I was totally shut down! But don't worry folks, Matt isn't going to get me down! I think he is a little afraid of my awesomeness. I never knew what I wanted to be when I grew up, so I have decided to do it all. After my kids are all in school, I'm going to be a teacher, a school counselor, a detective and a registered nurse. I am never going to work in all these fields, obviously, but wouldn't that be awesome to just be able to say? Sweet! And nobody be mad at Matt, I don't think he thought I was being serious, (I was) I know he would support me in anything I did.
