Hey Mickey

I was awakened by a text this morning.

"Hey, lets make a music video... I'm coming over!"

It was Annie... and it apeared she wouldn't be stopped. So today we started filming. Annie requested to be a woman in our next film, so I granted her wish. Here is a little sneak peek into 'Hey Mickey'

Introducing Annie

I would just like to inform you all that Annie has at long last, started a blog. Get ready world.

P.S. Don't let the title of her blog fool you, she spent two hours after her blog was created trying to think of 'hoodrat' things she had done to blog about.

Finally

...for two things: the drought of blog posts by me, and meeting my new baby niece! At Tahoe we got to spend a week just chillin with the family, so we had lots of time to cuddle little Mirian. Isn't she perfect?

P.S. I have loads of things to post about... Tahoe... Matt's Birthday... but I left my memory card with my mother-in-law so I'll wait until I have some pictures!

M to the Dizzle

So, my good friend Mindy/June has started working on her modeling portfolio! Since I like to take pictures, we decided to combine our forces and see if we could get anything that her agent would like. We went up the canyon and hiked to the upper falls, and I had a LOT of fun photographing Mindy... it was basically the same thing we did at all of our swim meets in high school. Anyways, here are some of my attempts at 'high fashion'.

Mindy looked awesome, so there are tons that I want to post... but theses are just a few of my favorites.

But, I KNOW that some of you people that read my blog are into photography/are professional photographers or you just have eyeballs, so I know when you looked at those you had critiques! I REALLY would like to know what I need to work on, so come on, let it out!

Blog

So, it was about time for my bi-monthly blog background change... basically the time when I get sick of looking at my blog. I didn't really see anything that I liked where I normally get my backgrounds, so I decided to take the plunge and make my own! I don't know if it is even the right size right now because my laptop is a wide screen, but I think I am liking it! I also designed a new header, and in preparation for our Asian adventure included the Chinese character for Happiness.
Last time I made my own header, the picture was super blurry and I HATED the font, so sorry you guys had to endure that, and I praise all of you who continued to read despite the hideousness of my blog. What do you guys think about the new stuff? Anything that will stop you from reading my blog?

Bumpit

Oh... my... heck. I thought all the high school girls had stuffed rolls of nickels under the backs of their hair... now I know what was really to blame: The Hollywood Bumpit. Matt saw this commercial on tv and he was laughing his head off. I came in just in time to see that this marvelous product has a webpage.

Only three easy steps to making yourself look ridicoulous with this product:

Now, I'm not going to lie... I tease my hair a little so that I don't look like a flathead, but I think this is going a little far. Please watch the commercial on the website? I am sure it will make your day.

Troll 2

So... remember when I blogged about this awesome movie? Well, on Saturday Annie and I hosted a Troll 2 Extravaganza (my apologies if you didn't know about this party, I invited everyone on facebook that I thought still resided in Utah)! After hours of planning, the big night was Saturday. We had some competitions planned, but they never really happened. So the party wasn't quite as epic as I had planned but we still watched the movie, which was about 99% of the epic-ness. I had a lot of fun!

We made some nice green food and Nilbog milk:

We loaded the place up with citronella candles (and tried to supply bug reppellant)

Annie fashioned a Goblin for you spear-throwing pleasure

And last but not least, we watched the movie in our outdoor cinema!

There were definately some kinks we had to work through, but I want to do it again! Any ideas for the next movie?

P.S. We have some shirt left over since we didn't do the competitions... anyone want one? We have like two smalls and the rest are mediums.

Shoot out

Annie and I went on a little shoot the other day. It is fast becoming on of our favorite things to do... here is my favorite from the day.
If you want to see more, we put up bunches on facebook (facebook is the best place to pamper your vanity, because not too many people will judge Annie for having fifty pictures of herself on there). My Aunt Patty dubbed this look the 'hippie nephite'.

Little Graduate...

My mom has had quite the last couple of years with graduations... mine in 2006, Jeff's in 2008, and then me and Annie both in 2009. (In case you were wondering, that puts her with three kids in high school at the same time) I went to Annie's graduation the other day, and after all my waiting to get a picture of her in the 'special parents picture' place, I got one. Then she posed for one, but left before I could take a picture. I'm not going to lie... I'm not a fan of SHS's choice in new graduation robes... I think they look a little to decorated for high school graduation. And, since they were rented, you had to give them back that day before you could grab your diploma... lame. Anyways, here are some of the pictures I managed to get for your veiwing pleasure.

Just a couple of notes: Annie is wearing a couple of 'money leis' that I made for her with coins and packing tape. My mom wasn't very happy about that because they looked ghetto, I thought that they were a great twist on the classic money leis usually made of paper bills and worn to show just how much your parents love you. I showed Annie that I loved her $11.37 worth of her own change, stolen from her room.
Second note: I have a hard enough time getting Annie to smile, let alone her and two of her friends with similar personalities. The last picture is when I decided to give them some 'themes' for the pictures... this one is 'looking to the past'

Banked

I guess I do have a couple of things I have banked up on to blog about... lets start with bikes. Matt and I borrowed my mom and dad's old bikes so that we can ride to work. They are very 'vintage', let's say (my dad's bike he has had since he was 13!) but we have been having fun so far riding around town, to work and to visit Scott and Olivia. Since I don't have any good pictures of us riding, I'll just put some up of Matt giving Sydney (our niece) a ride around. Yay for bikes! I'd forgotten how relaxing a good evening bike ride is...

I've lost the will....

... to blog. I have noting interesting to say lately (not that I really did before)! People have suggested that I do a post about what I do daily (a good idea for most people)... so I thought I would just give you all a little sneek peek of what that would look like:

"Today I woke up around eleven. The first thing I did was check my blogs and facebook and wonder if I have anything to blog about... negative. Next, Matt woke up and we read and watched t.v for a little while. Then I decided to get ready for work. That took about an hour. Then I went to work. I took a lot of calls today, my stats stunk. Then I came home and we read in bed for an hour or two then fell asleep."

See, who wants to read that everyday, because believe me... thats life around here with some slight variations. To add to the boring/dramatic effect... I'm not even going to post a picture.
