Is it just me, or was it everyone's favorite part of Jr. High english talking about legends? My teacher did urban legends as well and I love them! Maybe just becuase I like freaky scary stories, but anyways... to the point, today I got a text that said: "never use table condiments at resturaunts because a guy in SLC was caught enjecting his blood into the ketchup!" okay, number one, HIV has NEVER been reported to have spread that way, from blood to mouth, and second, HIV can't live outside the host cell for very long. Anyways, getting distracted again, but I wanted to see if there had been some guy getting caught doing that, so I googled it, and this sight Snopes came up. It is my new favorite! They have all sorts of urban legends and where they came from and weather or not they have any basis in fact! It had all sorts of stuff, like that rumor that munchkin hung himself on the set of Wizard of Oz, to identity theft stuff. I would really check it out, some of the stuff is a little crazy, but for the most part it's vert interesting!
This is the heading from my favorite section on horror! Creppy huh?
