Games

So lately, I don't know why, but I have the sudden urge to play/buy tons of new games! Maybe its because I am a collector of collections(in other words, I have tons of 'collections' none of which are very big or keep my interest for long) so I guess I am in a game phase right now and I have been looking at lots of games (mostly European) and really wanting to buy them all. So I was wondering if anyone I knew had actually played these games and had any input on them? Here are a few I have been looking at:

1. Pirates Cove: sounds pretty interesting, and hey, its about Pirates! Can you go wrong? But from what I understand, you try to become the most 'famous' pirate by battling the other players and stealing treasure and stuff. It's a little pricey, so I am scared to even want it because I don't know if I'll like it!



2. RA: Is an auction type game that is obviously an Egyptian themed game. Once again, not sure about the whole auction idea, but it could be fun!





3. Caylus: Sounds kindof like Settlers, in that you have a city and you work to develop it and get point according to how awesome your city is. The reviews I read on Amazon were really good, so thats why I was interested in this game.




4. Caracassone: This game was always talked about in other game reviews, it seems like it is almost as famous as Settlers even though I had never heard of it. I have read that it is a little boring without any expansions, but it sounds pretty fun.


Once again, I have no idea where this strange obesession with board games came from! I guess I have just been really bored lately with Matt at work and decided to find some awesome games for the next Carter Family Smackdown! I haven't ever been a huge board game person until I married into the Carter family, and now I love them! (Don't tell my dad! He doesn't like games and would probably disown me) But if anyone out there has ever played these games or has heard about them, let me know! And if I buy any of them, I'll let you know how they turn out.
