In light of my current state of political confusion, I have given both parties and nominees an incredible amount of though and have come to the conclusion that the age old adage runs true, that if you want something done right, you have to do it yourself. I have taken that to heart and have decided to announce my candidacy for the 2008 Presidential Election. I will know tell you why I should be president:
I have great experience in foreign affairs.
I have worked in health care, and can therefore make educated decisions regarding what needs to be done about it.
I have leadership experience as President of HOSA (some classified government agency)
I understand what CD's are, and can use that knowledge to fix the economy.
And here's the deal breaker: my first act as President will be Free Ice Cream Friday, but only for those that vote for me. (you will of course have to write my name in on the ballot.)
*For any of you that may not know me so well, and for those that randomly stumbled upon this, I am JOKING. Just thought I would throw that out for you, but I have almost convinced myself whilst writing this post that I would be a good president. ahaha. But the real reason for this post is becuase I have been thinking a LOT about politics lately, because I don't want to place my vote simply on the basis of party, I want to have solid reasons TO vote for someone, not just reasons not to vote for the other person.
