Crushed

Not in a literal term, or even seriously. But I wanted to recount a conversation I had with Matt today.

Kristal: Hey Matty, after we have kids I'm going to the police academy okay?
Matt: The police academy?
Kristal: Yes, I want to be a detective!
Matt:No
Kristal: Well, I also want to get my nursing degree, can I do that?
Matt: No
Kristal: Well then can I at least get my masters?
Matt: In what?
Kristal: counseling
Matt: No

Man, I was totally shut down! But don't worry folks, Matt isn't going to get me down! I think he is a little afraid of my awesomeness. I never knew what I wanted to be when I grew up, so I have decided to do it all. After my kids are all in school, I'm going to be a teacher, a school counselor, a detective and a registered nurse. I am never going to work in all these fields, obviously, but wouldn't that be awesome to just be able to say? Sweet! And nobody be mad at Matt, I don't think he thought I was being serious, (I was) I know he would support me in anything I did.

Matt would be afraid you would detect his sneakiness ( detective), scold him for not doing his home, (teacher) and counsel him when he is misbehaving. You should also become a mad scientist and work with him in the lab! You would look cute in a lab coat.
