My camera battery was dead the whole way, but this is what it looked like. This was actually the worst pass. We got through all the scary passes and what should happen but a happy flat tire? It was so cold changing that baby but luckily cha-cha and Russell were able to direct us to the Les Schwab in Hermaston Oregon. I had to laugh at the similarities in my day and Olivia's day on Monday. We chilled at the tire store for about two hours, then went to Walmart for about an hour then went to a chinese buffet where my fortune was 'plan for some unanticipated events' Go figure. After about four hours, we got our car and made it to Yakima! Our ten hour drive turned into an odyssey. But we got here safely and are currently serving as butler and chiefs to the Carlson's.

Washington Trail
We got to Washington on Monday... supposed to be Saturday... but this got in our way.

Ugh- I am SO not looking forward to the drive. At least we have new tires & chains. It just isn't going to be great. Wish we could spend all our time with you guy in Yakima! Sounds like you are having a blast!
That pass is super scary!! Oh the memories!! One year when Aaron and I were driving home we spent 3 hours on a reservation in oregon becuase the wind was tipping semi's scary.. IT was windy I felt like I was in the wizard of oz )minus the tornado of couse
oh no! A flat tire? That's way worse than mine trip. I'm sorry. It's death for everyone! I'm glad you made it safe though. Welcome to Washington :)
