Dorodango

is the Japanese art of making shiny 'mud balls' with just dirt, water and your hands. This is what Matt and I were doing with our dirt and strainer on Monday(see below)... I would have just told you then, but we weren't sure if they would turn out. Matt saw it on Mythbusters, and he was determined to make one. Last night, he succeeded. They are pretty freakin complicated. I gave up Monday night, but Matt slaved all day yesterday with his little dirt clod, with some pretty cool results. I was beginning to think that this was all a hoax, until Matt's little ball began to shine.

Pretty sweet I think! My husband is such a stud. He also did this-> because he got dirt all over my kitchen

I keep coming back and then reading about this. I love it, it is so mesmerizing. I so want to see and hold it in person.
