And a big fatty chocolate chip cookie.
And a shower that has a shower curtain.
And a whole list of other things...
and I've only been here for a week. Does living abroad get easier? I am desperately homesick. All the stuff we did right before we left the US seems like another lifetime.
*just a side note, yesterday I ate pig's blood (all clotted up so it looked like jello squares) and pig ear. Then, on the way to our city, we ate at a place that reminded me of the O'Teals cabin on Christy (if you have seen that show) and they literally served us a WHOLE chicken in a bowl of broth. And I didn't even notice until everyone had eaten all the meat and just the little footsies poked out and the head was looking at me. Dong'an is a far cry from Beijing.

You know, it does get easier. Before you know it you'll feel like you're at home but sometimes you'll feel homesick. But it won't be nearly as bad as the beginning. Just hang on! We miss you like crazy here in the states!
Hang in there Kristal. You are doing great! When you get settled in with an address, let us know so we can send you care packages with chocolate chip cookies and some Mac and Cheese. We love you guys. Say hi to Nerak for us. He so wanted to join you guys in China, since that is where he was made.
Dear Kristal,
this is just like a boy leaving on a mission. It will get easier the more involved you get. Right now everything is strange. We can't wait to come visit and send you packages. We love you dearly. You can do this....it is preparing you for being Mission Presidents in Dujouti.
