Sometimes I don't believe him when he tells me things. Not because he means to decieve me, but because sometimes I think his memory is a tad bit defective.
The other day we were watching Chuck, and some people were sitting in a hotel room in Paris, and Matt told me that it would be impossible for them to be staying in a hotel that had that view of the Eiffel Tower. He thought that they were too high up(in Paris they can't build more than five story buildings because there are so many tunnels underground that the buildings would be too heavy and colapse the subway). Anyways, I didn't really believe my handsome husband, choosing instead to place my confidence in Hollywood. They don't just make stuff up on TV. I should have listened to the fellow, not only did he serve his mission in Paris, but has been there several other times.
Then, lo and behold, while we were watching Alias they were *suposed* to be in Vietnam on a secret mission, but when it showed the shot of *suposed* Vietnam, I recognized something. I rewound to get a closer look at this:
See that builing in the right hand corner? That building I have been to, and I have not travelled to Vietnam. That is in fact the Summer Palace, located in Beijing, China.
And needless to say, there are not any tall buildings in the vicinity. Normally, that barren wasteland is a lake, sorry Alias, you're not fooling this lady.
There are two morals to this story:
1. As it turns out, you can't believe everything you see on TV. I should probably just listen to my well traveled husband at least in regards to forgein travels, physics and ice-cube filled bathtubs.
2. I now feel at least a little accomplished in my travels...I'm happy that I can recognize at least a few places that most people would not(another being the mountains from Avatar)even if all those places are in China! Ah, I'm excited for the day when I have been to so many places that TV will never be able to pull a fast one on me.

Lousy Hollywood. They are so fake. When I was at Fitness Ridge, we found out that the Biggest Losers week is really 14 days instead of 7. How is that fair to the fat people of America who think they can lose 12 lbs in 7 days....grrr. Plus they make the people fast for 12 hours before they weigh in ...at 5:00 AM instead of night time like it looks on tv. Mythbuster
So Matt is still a liar, even if he does know about Paris. The ice-cube filled bathtub is a lie and we all know it!
Haha they do that here in Vegas ALL the time. Like the movie 'pay it forward'? Filmed at my HS in north west Vegas. He 'rides' his bike home and he lives next to the strip...20 min away (by car and nicely flowing traffic). Love it :)
