Officer Training School Graduation

For those of you that didn't know, Matt spend the last three months at Officers Training School in Montgomery Alabama. Natalie and I went out last week to see Matt/Dad and to celebrate his graduation and commissioning.

I took a lot of pictures.
Here are the highlights:

Natalie and I spent the first two days chillin in the hotel room waiting for daddy to come back from work. He still had to sleep on base, but we had fun with him the few hours we got each day!

Grandma and Grandpa Carter joined us on Saturday, and Sunday they had an Easter Egg hunt for Natalie

1. Matt looking studly in his blues 2. All ready for 'Dining Out' Air Force code for dressing up and getting your drink on 3. For those of you wondering if Matt has changed... 4. Just FYI for anyone not sure of the dress code at such Military gatherings, I didn't feel over or under dressed in this dress (it was just right, and a last minute borrow from a friend), but I did leave a trail of glitter that I'm sure they'll be cleaning up for weeks.
1. Matt being commissioned 2. Our little fam 3. Matt saluting some johns, there was a lot of that going around 4. Natalie chillin with Grandpa during the commissioning ceremony
1. Lieutenant Carter! 2&3. Catching up on some dad snuggles
1. 'No more kisses please' 2. Fine, one more I suppose
1 Matt and his parents, we're glad they could come 2 some ribbons for something he did...
1 some marching at the graduation parade 2 see Matt? This is his 'Military bearing' face 3 Matts squadron doing some cheering, possibly of 'slandering other squadrons' nature
1. some more swearing 2. gotta have a fly over at Air Force events, timed to happen just as picture three was happening.
They layer on the Patriotism and pride in your Air Forcer pretty thick at these things and I was a weepy mess the whole two days of ceremonies. This day was a long time coming for us, and I'm feeling a little  LOT overwhelmed, but very excited to finally be starting our military life!

The ceremonies are always tear jerking! Great photos, you looked stunning in your dress! Good luck! The military life did a lot for our family and I will forever have a great respect for military families and a different level of patriotism.

I'm really glad I found your blog! My husband has just been selected as an officer for the Air Force. We haven't gotten in orders as to when he leaves for OTS yet. Feels like a huge waiting game!

Thank you for sharing!
