Giveaway!

I am a compulsive crafter. My latest obsession? These earrings:
I started making them not to sell, but as a quick, fun craft my sisters-in-law and I could do when we were able to get together for a couple days. The result? A mountain of earrings, cause they were turning out so darn cute I just couldn't stop making them.

So of course I didn't stop when I had more than I needed. I bought different colors, made more and listed them on Etsy. I am not good at Etsy. I'm no business woman, marketer or designer. I like making stuff, but kinda hate the marketing part. That is why I'm doing this giveaway. I need some feedback my friends. And for all three of you that regularly read this blog (I may be counting myself in that number), I was hoping to bribe you with a giveaway:

Not one, but TWO pairs of earrings! Whatever colors you want!
*Right now, the earrings are on pre-sale on account of my living in a hotel on a temporary military assignment with Matt, therefore limiting my access to an oven for baking the clay. I'm doing the giveaway before I can really 'launch' the earrings to get some feedback and suggestions from my lovely blog readers. The pictures of color above represent the colors that I have, but have not been able to turn into earrings yet. You can choose these colors should you win the giveaway*

Keep 'em, give 'em away or feed them to your dog, but they will be yours! This is how to enter:

1 entry: Leave a comment telling me which colors you want if you win (easy and painless!)
1 entry: 'Pin' the earrings from Etsy, leave a comment telling me you've done so
1 entry: 'like' the earrings on Etsy (I won't be offended if you don't want to clutter your newsfeed), and tell me you've done it in a comment
1 entry: give me some feedback! Answer me these questions three:
-What colors are missing?
-If you were looking for this particular earring to purchase, what would you type into the search box? (I'm awful at 'key words)
-talk to me about money. Too expensive? Too cheap? I promise you won't hurt my feelings.
any general feedback you can think of is also appreciated!

And last but not least, I have decided that for every ten people that enter this giveaway (ten PEOPLE, not comments mind you) I will give away an additional pair of earrings! Oh, and if you would rather just buy them now, use coupon code CANTWAIT to get 10% off your order.
***Update!*** If you would rather buy them now, I've listed them on sale on my sidebar! If you choose to order that way, please leave a comment with the colors that you would like!

***Giveaway closes July 13th***

Mint and Hot pick are my fav.

I pined the eating, and liked them too!!

Feedback:
Missing colors - black, sparkle colors?
I would search flower earrings.
Relatively good price. I would by them at this price.
I really like them, if you could change the color of the center of the flower that'd be cool too.

I love all of them but would go with the pearl for now cause I can wear them with anything!! I think the price is great, you might even be able to get more, I probably would spend $5 on them! I would search for flower earrings, and I agree with Erin on the colors, black and some sparkles and changing the center color would probably look cute too! I'm really tempted to buy one in every color but I think my hubby would kill me!!

I forgot to say I liked it and pinned it too!!

Oooh, I like hot pink and navy! I wear mine all the time!!!! I absolutely love them. Love your craftiness.

I also pinned it and liked it. I kinda like the mint one too. Too many cute choices to choose from :)

I'll just say that they're super cute. No need to enter me into a drawing because I don't have pierced ears, but I would definitely wear them if I did. The mint ones are my favorite. How the heck did you make them?!

Robin said...

Ummm... Could they be any cuter!? Love love love them! I would go with pearl or light pink right now, but I just love them all! Way to go! I miss our crafty time!

Just looked at the etsy shop. Love it. Great pictures! The only other color I can think of that you might be missing is black. And you should charge more! $2 is a steal! My sister-in-law bought earrings like this at a boutique for like $12- and that was a bargain deal! Yours are really cute and they look well made so I'm sure yours are just as nice of quality. You can make good money with these!

And of course I pinned them and liked them. You're my hero Kristal. Keep me updated on your crafting world!

Yo, yo! You know I love, love, love these!

All the colors are lovely- I like the pearl, pink, peach especially right now. But they are all lovely.

Great price, I would search "flower earrings" maybe a color too if I was looking for a particular color.

The pictures are lovely & I think you are spot on with all the stuff you are doing!

Kris i love peppermint and plum!
i posted it on facebook
i was looking for brown, black and grey. well i typed in your name and i guess i thought you were selling the actual earrings not the molds, you should do both b/c i honestly wouldnt buy the mold just the finished product. ok back to the real question i would type "make it yourself" or "home made". the molds are too cheap i think its a good price to start as an introductory rate but not as final price. think of how many earrings they are getting for 6 bucks! if you sold made earrings i would do about 6 too.
i liked it on etsy too!
k kris i think i did all the entries possible! good luck with this its a super cute idea :) Whit

I pinned your etsy site and liked it on Facebook!
The earrings are adorable and your Etsy page looks great - very professional and the earrings seem to be shown off to their best advantage. And, if I win, I'd love the mint and the lilac!!

Marsha Lenox said...

Oh - like some others have said, you could charge more for them. Even $5 would be a bargain and I'd buy at least a couple still. As it is, I'll get them from your website. I can't wait to put them on!!

mint and hot pink!!

these are so cute kristal! :)

I agree - would easily buy these for $5 without thinking about it (but don't raise the price until I place a couple orders).

I think neon colors are really in right now, so love the hot pink

No need to enter me in the give-away, because I am a total louse for not thanking you earlier for the adorable earrings! I was so happy to receive them and I have worn the mint ones several times. I decided to save the lilac ones to give to someone special (though I have to admit that I have reconsidered this idea several times;o) A few things: I loved the packaging - I thought you did a great job with that. I loved the mint color - it was just as I expected and the earrings were even lovelier in person than the pictures. Also, they are very well made. They are very sturdy and don't feel cheap at all, which you don't expect for earrings that are so inexpensive.

I have already gotten several compliments on my earrings when I have worn them.

I saw these on a friends facebook page. I think they are cute, but my first question would be how big they are. I have relatively small ears, so I rarely buy earrings online. I'd add a size, and take a picture next to a ruler so people can see how large they might be.

Jennifer said...

My friend Katie, who commented already, was wearing these earrings, and I thought they were so cool and cute! Black, silver, emerald green, and normal purple would be great colors to add. I would probably search for "flower studs." Love these earrings! The price point is really great, but I definitely think you could charge more. They're totally worth it!

Jennifer said...

Forgot to say what colors I like: I love the red, hot pink, pearl, navy, and peppermint.

Ashley said...

I'm always on the lookout for nice, simple earrings that aren't boring. I don't want huge dangling ones but I also want something more than a simple stud - so these are perfect! If I win I would want the pearl and lilac ones!

Ashley said...

Oh, and your questions:

I would probably search for "simple flower earrings"

Although black isn't a flowery color, I would wear black ones.

I think the price is good - but some people might think they are poor quality because they are so inexpensive. I'd be willing to spend up to $5 for one pair.

Kristal these are fabulous! I like them all, but my FAVORITES are Mint, Neon Orange, Yellow and Lilac. But I really really love the Mint and the Neon Orange. (If I were to win). I noticed that on your etsy page you also make them nickel free! (I would need that). These are great!

Susan said...

I pinned the earrings from your etsy page, and it is pinned to my "Things to wear" board.

Susan said...

I also "liked" your earrings on facebook using the like button on your page, and added your shop and the earrings to my favorites on etsy, because I wasn't sure what you wanted me to do.

Susan said...

Here is some feedback:

I was going to say you needed some orange but then noticed that you have orange. I also love the navy. I think an electric blue would be awesome.

I am kind of terrible at key words as well, but perhaps I would right something like, "retro flower earring" or "vintage" (even though they aren't vintage, but they do remind me very much of earrings women in the 40's-50's would wear.

I think the price point is great from a consumer's standpoint, however I don't know if you are making money off them. I think that when you factor in shipping on them for $2.00, I would be happy as someone BUYING them that I only spent $5.50 on really cute earrings that are nickel free!

I think they are SO cute, Kristal! You amaze me!

And I HOPE I win! ;)

Danika Brunetti said...

Kristal, these are adorable! My fav's are the mint and yellow, although I wouldn't mind one of each! As for the keywords I would put flower earrings. It's just simple and to the point. I liked this on your page, I hope that is hat I was supposed to do and pinned it on etsy as well as Pinterest.
It would be cute to do different kinds of flowers too. The price is good, you could raise them a little to make more money and people would still buy them. Good luck, I hope you make a bunch of money :)

I would LOVE them in Plum and Mint!!

I pinned them! See it here:

Ashley Rose said...

I also favorited them on Etsy. (Thanks for that, by the way! I haven't quite explored Etsy as much as I should and I didn't know you could "favorite" things!!)

Ashley Rose said...

I think you've got the colors pretty well covered, but if I could add one, it would be silver/grey

If I were searching for earrings like this, I would type in "flower earrings" or "flower studs"

Though I do love the price of these ;-) , I would definitely pay more for them. Maybe $5 at least? I don't know though - I guess I would have to see them in person to get a better idea of their size
