Strawberry Fields and Assassins

*Just a quick catch-up for all those of you who are not current on our happenings: We are living at Vandenberg AFB in Southern California for two more months while Matt finishes his technical training for his job(in case you're way behind, Matt is a Space and Missiles Officer with the Air Force)*

Matt's class started a massive game of Assasian last week(each person is assigned a target, you kill them then take their target and so on until only one person is left). A trip to Walmart and seventy dollars later, Matt was equipped with the best nerf gun he could find and a back up 'blow dart' thingy.

His first target lived out in the boondocks, so Monday night I picked up Matt from school and we rushed down to his house to try to beat him there. Not much rushing was required, because we waited for him for about an hour before we decided to get some dinner. Luckily, he just so happened to live right next door to an organic pick-your-own strawberry patch. So we killed time showing Natalie the farm animals and picking some of the most delicious strawberries I've ever tasted.
sorry for the awful camera phone pictures-when did the average digital picture get so good that these look so bad?
Luckily, after we took a dinner break in Solvang, Matt's mark was home and sitting in the yard with his back to the street. Foolish man. I'll let you know how the rest of the game turns out. Matt had a narrow escape last night after he was called down to the hotel lobby for a 'credit card problem', luckily I went first to investigate and discovered that the hotel receptionist had been compromised. Wish us luck!

That is so much fun! I think Russ and I need to start a massive game of assassin up here.

I LOVE it! I think we should all play this game. Hope Matt learned some sneak skills and wins!
