'Due Day' in all it's glory

Can I just start by saying I seriously hope I never have a baby early. I like due dates. I like having a day that I can put everything off until. No hospital bag packed? No biggie, I'm not due for three days. No carseat installed in the car? Meh, if we have to, Matt can do it when we're at the hospital. Yes, my name is Kristal and I'm a procrastinator.

Yesterday however, everything became possible. It was 'due day'! I celebrated by playing to my strengths and making a due day cake... I think the baby stayed in out of shame. Hey, it tasted good.

We also got Natalie a kitty, hence the many face scratches... the abuse goes both ways with those two, but they love each other.

Yesterday, this also happened.
I figure this is one of those times where admitting it out loud makes it less awkward and embarrassing. Hopefully. After my water broke with Natalie and it took Matt five minutes to convince me to go into the nearly empty ER with my wet pants I realized something, I would not respond well to a public display of my going into labor. So, this is what I wore to church yesterday. I almost didn't do it (What if someone can tell? It will be so obvious) but then I imagined someone scrubbing my amniotic fluid out of a pew and I bit the bullet. I started collecting free samples of these things when I found out I was pregnant and will be wearing them when I go out in public until this baby comes because I just can't imagine a scenario where my water breaking would be anything but humiliating for me.

And my forty week belly. Sadly, one of the only ones I took this time around. And if you think my mirror is dirty, you should see my craft room. My inability to bend over+Natalie's toddler-ness= me only managing to maintain an essential level of cleanliness, and my entry mirror is just sittin' low on my priorities these days.

You do have a very cute prego belly!! I've heard of people using depends after delivery, I didn't even think of using them before, just in case!!! Wish you best of luck!!!
