One day Matt was home for lunch. Natalie had been sitting in her highchair eating her macaroni and cheese, but then wanted to get down. After she got down, she wanted to take her bowl with her, but Matt (mean ole dad) wouldn't let her. She was all mad and started pushing him away, then said 'Go work Daddy!'.
I usually have a pile of random yarn clippings next to me while I crochet. Last week I was going to throw these away but when I walked past Natalie she said 'No mommy! Grass, horsey!' she then proceeded to feed my clump of green yarn clippings to her rocking horse.
Matt had a meeting before church today so he was already there when the girls and I arrived. Matt was passing the sacrament so he wasn't with us, but when Natalie saw him standing up to pass, she shouted across the chapel 'Sit Daddy!' and patted the seat next to her.
Yesterday Natalie was supposed to be taking a nap, I was downstairs and Matt was in the office taking a final. He came down a little while into her nap and asked 'Do you want to know where I found Natalie?' I tried to think of the least likely place she could have gotten to in her room and replied 'the changing table?'. She had in fact climbed up on her changing table(it's not even the kind that is attached to the crib, it's on the other side of the room), buckled herself down and emptied the wipes container. When Matt found her she did in fact have a stinky diaper, so we can only assume she was trying to remedy the problem on her own.
I love that little hood rat of mine. And the only Kate story I have is that she started laughing. It's sort of a guttural, half choking sound but I love it. That girl is so quick to smile, all you have to do is look at her.
I have lots of blogging to catch up on, so hopefully I'll have more posts this week!
