If you would like to be happy, save your paychecks until the end of the month, and then go to the bank and cash them in tens or twenties (fifteens if they got em, as that is about what 100 yuan equals). If you have a full time job (even a minimum wage one) you too will be able to enjoy rolling in your money.
Hundred yuan bills are the largest they have here, isn't that weird? So, when Matt and I withdrew our salaries for the month we had a fatty stack of cash. We don't really see any point to keeping it in the bank here when we could just roll in it at our house.
Which brings up my next point, Matt and I finally got our Chinese back accounts! I think when we leave we should just leave a couple bucks in there, just so the account stays open. I would just like to be able to say that we have money in an overseas account, should the subject ever arise. I think it would make me sound ridiculously pretentious if I were to throw that out there at say, one of my children's soccer games. It would be wonderful. But of course I would have to say it with a hint of a British accent.

HA! I love it! That's so funny & the pics are great.
Katrina and I (Ryan Lamb) are both sitting here at UVU reading your blog. And we are wondering how you are doing, since we can't talk over facebook this is the closest we can get to you. Do you have an email addres that I can send you an email? (ryangenelamb@gmail.com) (kattwalser@comcast.net)We hope all is well!! Are you prego yet? When are you getting bac, are you learning chinese, or just being stupid and nodding at what everyone says? Please email us, because I have a picture I want to send you, it's my new profile pic on facebook and I have gotten a lot of comments on it. It looks like you guys are having fun rolling in the money. You need to send us some budhas. I'll pay you back (not really your rolling in the dough). Yada yada yada. love you tons.
By the way if you trash our comments we will get revenge.
Their money is pretty. You could almost make a bedspread. I think instead of a British accent, it would be cooler to rattle off a bunch of Chinese that they wouldn't understand...like...my kid is a better soccer player than yours...with a smile on your face. I am just kidding though.
Fantabulous!!!! You guys are loaded with your Yuan. Sing with me "Get your Yuan on!!!!"
ahahaha! i LOVE those pics. totally saweet.
