Family Ward

Graduating into a family ward from a married student ward is both good and bad, the bad part is if you do not in fact have a family. I received two books on Sunday from two different people, obviously hinting Matt and I should begin procreating.
The Family Home Evening Book came with this intro:
Sister So & So: "Do you have Family Home Evening? You should really do that, it's such a great way to bring your family together, etc, etc... How old are your children?"
Matt and I: "Ummm, we don't actually have children" (I considered telling her that we had chosen to imagine them)
Sister So & So: "Oh... (insert awkward pause) well, when you do, this book is great!"

The Pregnancy book carried this message from it's bearer, my mother-in-law:
"Somebody handed me this book and said I should give it to you."

Fabulous. I guess the ward members are now split between thinking that Matt and I are childless rebels, or that I am currently 'with child'

Seriously? I think that is messed up! I have had several people lately who once they have learned we are approaching our 4th anniversary have pestered us about having children. Ummmm... that is SOOO none of your business! Sheesh. Just tell them that you practice having children all the time. That will shut them up :-)

That is funny Robin. I think we will just take a ad out in the ward bulletin that says ....Kristal and Matt are trying for a baby...please do not call them Mon-Friday between 8-10 PM. and never on weekends. Maybe they can get out of alot of stuff.

HAHA! Seriously! People are crazy. I've had a few people harassing Scott & I about having more babies. People are crazy up in peoples business!

Try going on 7 1/2 years with no kids . . . Although it truly was a joke, one of our former Bishops indicated that maybe we weren't having kids because I got to warm at night and didn't want Emily's cold feet on me.

I like the ad idea. Mom, only between 8-10????

Kristal, I know the feeling. We used to tell people we were going to have a baby "nine months from tomorrow." They usually had to think about that one for a minute.

Kristal, just make sure that your children watch out for those rogue unicorns.
