Faux Tutorial: FHE Memory Game

Yes, I'm doing a semi-tutorial. It just seems like the homemaker/blogger thing to do these days. This one is really easy, and not so much a tutorial as a sharing of ideas. This is a set of memory cards matching the Apostles with their names. My mother-in-law made this particular set to use at a Stake activity using the pictures that they sell at the Distribution Center. They are mounted on foam board, so they're sturdy enough you can just lay them on the floor and they can take some abuse. Plus, they look really nice.
I don't want to insult your intelligence by writing the step-by step process to cutting out squares and gluing paper to them. So I'll summarize.

Get some pictures. You could make these memory cards to go along with almost any lesson.

Get some foam board from the dollar store. You can fit 5 8.5x11 pictures per board. While you're out, pick up some rubber cement and a utility knife if you don't have anything that can cut through the foam board.

Cut out the foam board, put some rubber cement on the back of the pictures and smack it down. For the regular printer paper we used spray adhesive, I like that better than glue sticks so that the paper doesn't get bumpy where you glued it.

And ta-da! You're all done. You could use the foam board backing for any memory game, but the church pictures were just sooo easy. Plus, you could use them for ANYTHING. I think once I have a place to store them, I'll make myself a set for all the different collections of pictures they have!

Oh man, I need to do this for an FHE activity! And for conference! And for all sorts of goodness! Seriously, I love!

You are so crafty. Just so know, you kind of make me sick with all of your talent. It just isn't fair.
