Tahoe Time

Every year about this time we head out to Lake Tahoe to help out with the Lake Tahoe Relay, which my awesome mother-in-law owns and directs. This year Matt dubbed himself 'Assistant Race Director' (he needed more volunteer stuff for his job) and he spent the weekend following April around. I spent it following Natalie around and Natalie spent it following her cousins around and asking 'Pool?'. I used to work at the finish line before Natalie was born, so it's kinda weird to not be where everything is going on, but a lot more relaxing(plus, I still went down there and tried to take over... sometimes I can't help myself... sorry Kristina!). But all in all, such a fun weekend! If you're a runner, you should definitely come out next year for our 50th anniversary! It started as an Olympic training event for Mexico city... that's how hardcore it is. And that's also why teams will be scratching their heads every year wondering how the heck the course record is so fast. Now, prepare yourselves for 72 miles of pictures.

I think Natalie's official job needs to be finish line applause, cause she was all over that. Every time the band finished a song or a runner crossed the line, she went to town.

Ya, she was a giant mess, but she was sure happy just playing there in the gutter dust. I was sitting right next to her in all my pregnant glory while people looked at us like 'and she's having another one?!'
